Inhalt/Klappentext

Howard Phillips (H.P.) Lovecraft (1890-1937) was a prolific American writer who specialized in tales in the gothic, horror, and science-fiction genres. He wrote his first story at the age of fourteen, and as a young man, he was a contributor to the pulp magazine 'Weird Tales'. After a brief marriage and stint living in New York City, Lovecraft returned to Providence, Rhode Island, where he lived most of his life and wrote some of his best works. His fiction has influenced some of today's greatest writers and filmmakers, including Stephen King, Alan Moore, F.Paul Wilson, Guillermo del Toro and Neil Gaiman.

'The Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft' collects the author's novel, four novellas, and fifty-three short stories. Written between the years 1917 and 1935, the works in this volume feature Lovecraft's trademark fantastical creatures and supernatural thrills, as well as many horrific and cautionary science-fiction themes, and include 'The Case of Charles Dexter Ward', 'The Call of Cthulhu', 'The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath', 'At the Mountains of Madness', 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth', 'The Colour Out of Space', and 'The Dunwich Horror', as well as many more hair-rising tales.
